Bio:
Mauricio Alejo was born in Mexico City in 1969. Fulbright Grant 2001- 2003. He has a Master's in Arts from New York University. He recently participated in the VIII Havana Biennial and in the group exhibitions Still Life , Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil; as well as in the art fairs ARCO '03 in Madrid and Paris Photo 2004. In 2001 his solo exhibition Six Images for a Better World was presented at the Galería OMR and a year later traveled to Ississ Gallery in Kyoto. This year he has a solo exhibition for his video works at Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City. He currently lives and works in Mexico City.
