Bio:
My work constructs and deconstructs the phenomenological hope of the art viewing experience. Curiosity, the nature of vision, viewer expectation, and narrative structure, particularly in relation to the moving image, are employed together in a conflicted amalgam. My use of techniques associated with Enlightenment science displays returns to those early investigations into the nature of the visual; a fertile time for the philosophy of vision typified by Bishop George Berkeleys Immaterialist theory of optics, which holds that objects of sight are not external to mind.
