Dee Hibbert-Jones is a British born artist. Her work investigates our psychological and physical needs for security; most specifically she investigates the systems we use for comfort, for remembering and for denial. Hibbert-Jones exhibits her work both in gallery settings and through community-based art installations. She was in residency most recently at the Headlands Center for the Arts, CA and the Sanitary Fill in San Francisco, CA. She received her MFA in sculpture and installation (Mills College, Oakland, California); her MA in Education (Durham University, England), her MA, in Womens Studies (York University, England) and her BA in Literature (London University, England.) Hibbert-Jones has exhibited in the US and abroad at venues such as The Memorial Union Gallery, UC Davis, California College of the Arts, Oakland, California, the Empire-Fulton Ferry Park, Brooklyn, NY and the Victoria Regional Arts Complex, Maryborough, Australia.
