Bio:
I am an MD/PhD candidate in my dissertation year in the Biochemistry Department at The University of Notre Dame. My research currently involves the conformational analysis of complex carbohydrate linkages using a combined theoretical and experimental approach. My long-term research interests include the biological origin of language and consciousness, solvent mediated biochemical quantum coherence in the brain, and evolutionary biochemistry and nutrition. I also actively pursue the use of aesthetics as a vehicle for the secularization of science, the philosophy of science, particularly as it relates to overlap between societal and scientific ethos, and technologies of sustainable civilization in dynamic disequilibrium.
