Bio:
Michael is an Associate Professor of Art History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has worked at Morehouse College, and at Georgia State University. As a scholar, Harris has published Colored Pictures: Race and Visual Representation (2003), and has contributed to or co-authored a number of publications. He has had articles published in a number of books and journals. Also an artist, Harris has been a member of the artist collective, AfriCobra since 1979, and has exhibited all over the United States, in Europe, and the Caribbean.
