Bio:
Artist and technician, Tom Jennings makes non-virtual, functional and complex instrumentation that plays with the ambivalent beauty and horror hidden within scientific and industrial apparatus, using materials and components from the beginning of the Cold War, with modern electronics and software hidden from view. He also built FidoNet, the largest member-owned and run pre-internet computer network, edited a queer/punk print zine HOMOCORE, and ran a socially-enlightened commercial internet service provider in the 1990's. He lives in Los Angeles, his work can be seen at http://wps.com.
