Bio:
Jenny Perlin's 16mm films, videos, and drawings work with and against the documentary tradition, incorporating innovative stylistic techniques to emphasize issues of truth, misunderstanding, and personal history.
Her 16mm animated films such as Possible Models, Schumann, and The United States in a Chaotic World, use hand-drawn stop-motion techniques to explore contemporary cultural phenomena. Perlin also makes non-fiction films such as View from Elsewhere, an inquiry into conditions of political asylum seekers in Switzerland, and Perseverance
