Bio:
For myself the cinema has long been a source of pleasure and a field of investigation- a portal through which I have tried, for better or worse, to grasp the world. But the particulars of my relation have always been tinged with a certain melancholy of the kind that might attend the lover of a consumptive heroine. By the time I actually understood the peculiar power of the art I also understood that the medium and technology of its creation were rapidly disappearing. My sculptural work with film is a negotiation with that moment. This piece is also a celebration of monkeys.
