Bio:
Ellie Ga was born in New York City in 1976. She received her MFA from Hunter College. Under a fellowship from the Friends of the Hermitage Museum, she was a guest artist at the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, and has also been an artist-in-residence at Womens Studio Workshop and The Newark Museum of Art. This year her performances and installations have been shown in New York at the Swiss Institute-Contemporary Art, The Rubin Museum of Art (with The Micro Explorers Club), The Newark Museum of Art, and at the Viper New Media Festival in Basel, Switzerland. Ellie is a founding member of Ugly Duckling Presse and was a co-organizer of the project space Year. She is currently the artist-in-residence of The Explorers Club.
